Hahn Votes for $20 Million Rent Relief Program for Fire Victims and Immigrants
September 16, 2025
Los Angeles, CA – Today, Los Angeles County Supervisor Janice Hahn voted to create a nearly $20 million emergency rent relief program targeting both wildfire survivors and immigrants impacted by recent ICE raids.
Hahn issued the following statement on her vote:
“We are facing two unprecedented crises that are driving thousands of residents to the brink of homelessness. There are fire survivors who are still struggling to get by. At the same time, ICE isn’t targeting criminals – they are raiding workplaces. That means thousands of families have lost, not only their loved ones, but their breadwinners. LA County is our region’s safety net, and we are doing everything we can to step up and help people in dire need right now.”
