Supervisor Hahn Asks for Increased Patrols After Armed Home Invasion in North Whittier

North Whittier, CA — Los Angeles County Supervisor Janice Hahn has asked the Sheriff’s Department for increased patrols in the unincorporated North Whittier/Spyglass neighborhood after an armed home invasion took place Thursday night.  Three male suspects held a family at gunpoint in their home on the 4000 Block of Indian Bend Drive while making demands for money.  The suspects fled after one victim was able to get the attention of an Uber driver outside.

Supervisor Hahn has released the following statement:

“I am so grateful that these residents are safe after this terrifying home invasion and I want to thank the Uber driver who realized what was happening and called 9-1-1.  The three suspects are still at large and are believed to be armed.  I have asked Sheriff’s Captain Phillip Marquez to increase patrols in the unincorporated North Whittier/ Spyglass community.  If you have any information about this crime please call Detective Avila at (562) 949-2421.”
