Supervisor Hahn Announces Public Health Directives Targeting Four Companies Emitting Hexavalent Chromium
Los Angeles, CA—Today, Supervisor Janice Hahn announced that the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (DPH) has issued new Public Health Directives to four companies emitting high levels of hexavalent chromium: Weber Metals, Carlton Forge, Mattco, and Press Forge.
“These emissions pose a serious health risk to local residents, workers, and young school children in the area and if they persist, these companies must be shut down. I will continue to work closely with the Department of Public Health and the SCAQMD to force these companies and any other offenders into compliance,” said Supervisor Hahn.”
