Apply for a Grant
We’re happy to support organizations within the Fourth District that are providing excellent services to our residents.
Each request for a funding grant must meet a social need of the residents of our County. Examples of social needs include arts, health, law enforcement, public safety, rehabilitation, welfare, education, legal services, and disability services.
Funding Guidelines
- Ideally, the agency seeking funding is physically located within the Fourth District. All funding requests must serve the Fourth District residents.
- Grants should support direct services or community events. For example, a grant could provide hygiene kits to the homeless, educational tutoring for students or a concert series in the park.
- Event applications must be submitted at least 60-days prior to the event date, otherwise we may not be able to process your application. Applications requesting support for past events will be rejected. Funding cannot be used retroactively to support an event.
- Grants cannot be used for political campaigns, religious or purely private purposes or activities. We are also unable to provide support for general fundraising.
- If the agency has received any of these grants in the past, the agency must be current on final reports. We will not approve a new request until all final reports are reconciled.
- The agency agrees to follow the terms of the contract, which includes using the grant money for the designated purpose and agrees to submit a final report by the end of the contract period.
- Funding in a particular calendar year does not guarantee funding in future years.

Application Process

- Once completed you will receive an email confirming the receipt of your application.
- The review process will begin, and you will receive a decision via email. Most applicants can expect to receive a decision within 90-days of submission.
Note: You may be contacted by a member of our team if more information is needed for consideration.
Please have the following ready at the time of application:
- A formal letter of intent which is addressed to Supervisor Hahn and outlines the request for funding. The letter must include the requested amount, description of the program/project that will benefit the Fourth District, the number of people that will be served in the Fourth District, and a description of the organization’s community engagement.
- A line-item budget for funding request.
- The organization must be registered as a County Vendor and have an existing County Vendor ID (WebVen) number.
If your organization is already registered, please ensure your vendor registration profile has your current information. Click here to register and/or update your vendor information. If you have any questions, contact the ISD Vendor Relations Unit at (323) 267-2725 from 7 a.m to 5 p.m Monday through Thursday or send them an email at ISDVendorRelations@isd.lacounty.gov.
Please do not apply until you have registered and received your vendor number.
Note: We acknowledge and appreciate the great work organizations across the Fourth District are doing. However, application submissions do not guarantee approval, and funding in a particular calendar year does not guarantee funding in future years. Due to the volume of applicants, we are unable to approve all funding requests received.
We look forward to partnering with you to serve our Fourth District communities.
