LA Phil in Whittier -- SOLD OUT!
It isn’t always easy to get your family to Downtown Los Angeles or to the Hollywood Bowl to see the Philharmonic—so we are bringing the LA Phil to you. The LA Phil is a local treasure and these neighborhood concerts are an incredible opportunity to experience it, for free, right in your community. I have been looking forward to bringing the LA Phil to Whittier for a long time and I want to thank the Whittier Chamber of Commerce and Whittier Union High School for helping make it possible.
The concert will feature the LA Phil, led by Associate Conductor Paolo Bortolameolli, performing works by Beethoven, Duke Ellington, Aldemaro Romero, and Leonard Bernstein, plus LA Phil-commissioned work by Paul Desenne. This concert will also include a special demonstration of the newly restored 1927 Wurlitzer theater organ which was dedicated to the Auditorium last year by the Whittier High School Alumni Association.
NOTE: All reserved tickets for this event have been claimed. Thank you so much for the huge outpouring of support and interest in this event. See you there!
For more information, please contact Supervisor Hahn’s field office at 562.807.7350 or visit laphil.com or whittierchamber.com. Because it is a free concert, guests are asked to be seated by 6:50 p.m. Unfilled seats at that time will be given to those on the waiting list.
