Hahn Co-Authors $24.3 Million Plan to Restore Metro Service
Los Angeles, CA — Today, the Metro Board of Directors unanimously passed a motion co-authored by Supervisor Janice Hahn to restore Metro transit service that had been cut due to the pandemic. The motion also calls for coordinating with the County and State to vaccinate Metro employees as quickly as possible.
“Metro riders are the essential workers who we have been relying on during this pandemic. We depend on them, but for too long they haven’t been able to depend on us,” said Supervisor Janice Hahn. “The service cuts have been painful for our riders and there is no excuse for not restoring this service now that we know we have the funding to do it. It is simply the right thing to do.”
