It has now been eight months since LA County issued a "Safer at Home" order to slow the spread of the coronavirus. Since then, we have all seen our lives change dramatically.
Many of us have gotten sick, and too many of us have lost loved ones. Over 7,000 people in LA County have passed away due to this virus. We mourn each and every one.
It is because we have come together as a County that we have been able to weather this storm so far. And as the pandemic continues, my office, LA County, and our community partners are continuing to work around the clock to make sure residents stay safe, healthy, fed, and housed.
Here is some of what we have done:
