Supervisor Hahn and Colleagues travel to Washington, DC

Washington, DC  Today, Supervisor Hahn, her colleagues on the Board of Supervisors, and LA County officials are in Washington, DC to meet with Members of Congress and the Administration.

Supervisor Hahn will meet personally with several of her former colleagues in Congress as well as the Army Corps of Engineers, and US Air Force officials about priorities important to her Fourth District.

“LA County is a model for the nation,” said Supervisor Hahn. “Our constituents have voted to tax themselves to expand our transportation system and to end homelessness. We are investing in our communities and our future.  But this progress could be threatened by major cuts to federal funding and other decisions being made in Washington. This week I will be meeting with members of the Administration and Congress about LA County’s priorities as well as projects that matter to Fourth District like the LA Air Force Base in El Segundo, harbor maintenance funding for the ports of LA and Long Beach, and the Long Beach breakwater project.”
